It’s very exciting that 2009 is almost upon us. That means that strong>Tight ‘n Bright is quickly approaching. In fact, beginning on Monday, January 5 you’ll begin hearing radio spots on Energy 101.5 in Calgary (or streaming online at energy1015.com). I just heard the promo and must say it sounds great. So even though we’ve all been busy this holiday season, we’ve all been busy at work.

Tune in and turn it up on Monday on Energy 101.5 FM. Oh yeah, and get your tickets today!

Now on sale

Tickets are now on sale for Tight ‘n Bright 2009. Tickets are priced at $10, prepaid in advance and include a few things. New AGLC (Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission) laws state that we can no longer advertise that the ticket includes a prepaid beverage so we won’t be promoting that from here out, however it will.

In addition to admission tickets, we’ve also finalized pricing for the “Winning Tickets” which are for the raffle prizes which will be defined in the next few weeks but already include chances at a WestJet Vacation to Las Vegas, meals from Extreme Pita, shopping at Rewind Consignment & Chinook along with a whole bunch more! As an added bonus, to those of you who purchase before December 31, 2008 just enter in the code THEBLOG to save 10%! It’s my way of saying thanks to you for your early support. Also, if you do not receive a confirmation email, simply contact us at info@tightnbright.com as there may be an issue. We’ve tested the process, but want to make sure you come party with us at Tight ‘n Bright without any issue.

So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets now!!!

Fresh to the Extreme!

Calgary & Area Extreme Pita franchises have joined in to support Tight ‘n Bright and will be donating prizes to our raffle. We often enjoy pitas from their locations and it just made sense to us to help promote them to more people. Extreme Pita is a healthy choice and a healthy diet goes a long way in helping prevent disease, including cancer. We’re very excited to have Extreme Pita join in to support our cause. Only 132 days to go!

Fast Forward to the future

Just a mere 137 days from now we’ll be partying at The Whiskey Nightclub with Energy 101.5, giving away a trip for two to Las Vegas from WestJet Vacations. Our other great sponsors will be there too partying it up with us and the latest one to join is Fast Forward Weekly. The free weekly paper can be found all over Calgary and online as well. We look forward to working with them and throwing the party of the year at The Whiskey. And of course don’t forget that 100% of the proceeds from the event go to the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s Tom Baker Cancer Centre right in Calgary. Stay tuned on how (and where) you can get your tickets and join us where a party can help find a cure. That’s right, my drinking helps find a cure!

Look both ways before crossing (for) Avenue

Watch your newsstand for the February and March issues of Avenue Magazine Calgary. Thanks to the publishing team Tight ‘n Bright will have a presence in the next two issues. (We tried for January as well but it’s already to press.) We’d like to thank Avenue for generously donating the space to promote the event.

Are you a Survivor?

Another prize has been added to the mix, and this time it’s up to you to answer. Are you a Survivor? Survivor Bootcamp has donated a spot in their six-week program to kick your butt into shape. Going three days a week there’s no doubt that you’ll feel better when you’re done with them. I’m a Survivor…are you?!

“Be kind, please Rewind”

Rewind Consignment Clothing has become known as a small, unique shopping venue for women to consign and buy cool things different from other stores. New clothing and accessories were introduced in 2006, which makes for a good mix in putting together the perfect wardrobe. Rewind Consignment has donated a $300 “shopping spree” to be included in the raffle.

“You’re right, cancer impacts everyone, because we all know people who are battling or have died from the disease,” says Krista Duckworth, owner of Rewind Consignment. “Honestly $300 will go a long way in my store. Even if someone were to buy the most expensive item from the new inventory, like a couture Concubine handbag for $130, or a handcrafted silver necklace for $70, they could then very easily put together a complete outfit, including shoes for $100.”

We’re very excited to have Krista and Rewind Consignment on board to help us reach our goal and exceed $20,000 in funds raised for Tom Baker Cancer Centre.

Spot on!

It’s with great pleasure that we welcome Process Color Print Limited to our marketing mix. Process Color has graciously donated their printing services for a number of promotional print pieces. Soon you’ll see a few vehicles driving around the city with information on Tight ‘n Bright on them and it was all thanks to the gang at Process Color that we could do it.
